Mission Statement:
I am an authentic feminist leader who values and celebrates the development and contribution of everyone. I will strive to facilitate positive growth, creating opportunities for disequilibrium and unconditional support through the creation and maintenance of mutually empowering relationships on a personal and organizational level, inclusive of all identities and experiences.
My Values:
My most resonant values to which I live, work, learn and grow are:
-Creativity: I value a creative work space, living space, for me a space without room for creativity is not a space for me. Having said that, I believe I can find a way to be creative in all that I do, especially in leadership. The greatest part of my views on leadership is that leadership is one size fits all.
-Inclusiveness: Do not be caught off guard by the last sentence. What I mean by one size fits all is that leadership is a process in which all can be included, all people can "fit" because I believe that there is not one true way to be a leader. Organizations should be "leaderful" places in which everyone is encouraged to explore themselves and their group and find out how they can help by utilizing their talents.
-Collaboration: The greatest thing about feminist leadership is that it is collaborative. Feminist leaders seek to bring everyone in, especially those who have been traditionally underrepresented in leadership. When we work together we can create a new face of leadership.
-Care and Empowerment: I put those two things together because I think it is important to not only truly care about people but also to help raise them up. A wise person once said to me that good leaders push out the spotlight and shine it onto others. Leadership is a process in which we work with one another a create an environment for positive progress and we cannot live up to our full potential as leaders unless we have care for people and empower others to take positive steps forward with us.
My Personal Definition of Leadership:
Leadership is a process in which a community utilizes their personal talents to communicate and meet a collective goal. Leaders empower members of the community to act and helps them to grow into their best selves.
